Finding freedom through Embodiment

I share about embodiment because I do my best to live an authentic and embodied way. This means I am intimately connected to my body, pleasure, vitality, sex & pain and suffering.

Some days I find it more difficult to love my curves due to my conditioning or to accept the pain in my womb, other days I find it more challenging to find ease and rest.

And then,

There are sweet moments when I find a new way, a different possibility or a transmutation. I hold myself tenderly with my imperfections, a soft breath or soothing touch;

I befriend myself again and again.

Most of the clients I am presently working with are in the process of reclaiming their bodies. Their voice.
Their expression. I take my work as whole-heartedly as I do because I too also have a history of trauma like many of my clients.

Because even though I write about embodiment, vitality, bliss, pleasure, and the beauty of intimacy, even though I have spent years of my life reconnecting with my body; I am not immune to the impact of
the societal group consciousness that oppresses women.

I am dedicated to movement and embodiment practices to increase intimacy with our bodies and inner lives and develop a greater presence within the fullness of being. Our bodies are a potential vehicle for our awakening, to return to the wisdom of our cells.

To this, I am devoted to with every step I take. A prayer to reconnect with spirit, the mystery of life, the earth and each other. A dance dedicated to the power in the soft and subtle, inviting us back to fluidity and aliveness. A song that guides us back to inhabiting our intuitive instinctual selves and embodying the wisdom of our bodies. An ancient way of knowing and being that I reclaim every day alongside you. For myself. For my sisters. And For my brothers.

Because your oppression is mine as much as it yours and so is your freedom.
